This page is a continuation of my Pink Floyd page on the topic of album & movie synchronicity (or synchronization). To enjoy a sync, simply play the chosen movie with the sound turned off, and play the appropriate CD at the same time. Turning on the captions can enhance the experience. Specific instructions for each sync are given on this web page.

Special Notes

30.06.23 -  Today, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Beatles Movie Sync Beat page.  It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since I read some clues on a movie sync discussion board that claimed some insider knowledge about the origins of movie syncs.  They were hinting that The Beatles were somehow involved.  Strangely enough, I was already considering trying some Beatles sync experiments, but this gave me the extra push.  I remember focusing on Sgt. Peppers because it was one of the first concept albums ever made.  The initial discoveries happened rather quickly, I recall.  One item I've wanted to clarify is how The White Album with Snow White got discovered.  I read about this combination on a movie sync discussion board somewhere around 2002 or 2003, but put it in the back of my mind.  Then in July 2003, I decided to try this combination.  It didn't fully work the first time I tried it.  It started going south toward the end of the first disc. Based on some clues in the liner notes, I got the feeling that some songs needed to be skipped.  I eventually figured out that only tracks 1 - 13 were needed from the first disc.  This discovery is truly my contribution to this sync because I'm pretty sure the original posting made no mention of skipping tracks.  I did try to find that original post to give some credit to the authors, but it had been deleted.  It probably was written by an insider, but who really knows.  Anyway, I wanted to set the record straight, even if it is 20 years later.  Jumping back to today, we reveal two new movie syncs for your enjoyment, discovered by Zephyr Ash Ostrowski and David Taylor Mendonca.  These guys are part of the next generation of movie sync code breakers, keeping this awesome era of discovery alive.

10.07.19My wife and I went to see The Claypool Lennon Delirium perform at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit on 27.04.19.  Before the show, we lined up for the "Hang with Les Claypool & Sean Lennon" meet and greet.  Things rarely go as one imagines.  The first unexpected "thing" was the large number of people who paid the extra money for the meet and greet.  Since this was only the second time I've done this, I didn't realize how popular it is.  We eventually were led into the venue and after a short wait, Les and Sean made their way to a couple of chairs for a question and answer session.  The large group of us gathered around them like a news conference.  Fans raised their hands to ask them questions.  Well, if you know me, you'd know that I wasn't going to let this opportunity to ask them about movie syncs pass by.  So, when I got my turn, I asked them, "What do you think about The Dark Side of the Moon with The Wizard of Oz?  Have you watched it?"  Sean's reply of "I watched it this morning" got a huge laugh out of the crowd.  But then he went on to say something like, "You can play The Dark Side of the Moon with any epic movie, and you will see connections between the two.  That's how our brains work... trying to make connections."  He continued with "Sometimes when I'm editing videos, things just line up unexpectedly."  The pair answered a few more questions from the fans, and then we lined up for the photo-op.  When it was my turn, I'm not sure why I didn't introduce myself, but after the photos were taken, I remember saying something like, "I've got this crazy theory about syncs.  You should check out my web site,"  The last thing I remember is Sean uttering "...for other syncs," and that was it.  My turn was over, and the next person stepped up.  It was a cool experience being part of the fan Q&A and meeting Sean and Les.  I really admire these two musicians and their body of work.  I wish we had more time for personal conversations, but they had a show to do.  Similar to the last time I saw them, they put on a fantastic show!  They had a nice selection of songs, too.  All in all, my wife and I had a really nice time.  Thanks for returning to Detroit!

21.12.18I recently purchased two tickets to see The Claypool Lennon Delirium at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit on 27.04.19.  It goes without saying that I'm very much looking forward to this show!

30.06.18Today, we celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Beatles & family sync page.  I reveal another Sean Lennon sync using a soundtrack album with an alternate film.

07.10.17 -  My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Paul McCartney live at the brand-new Little Caesars Arena on 01.10.17.  Our seats gave us a really good view of the stage.  Paul and his band did not disappoint, entertaining us for nearly 3 hours with a great selection of tunes.  I love how Paul tells his stories in between certain songs, too.  At one point, a pair of fans (mother and daughter) were brought on stage.  I was stunned when Paul asked the mother her name, and she replied, "Katie Wendland."  She was from Frankenmuth, a German tourist town in Michigan.  For me, it was a weird synchronicity, since my surname just isn't that common.  Looking around at the crowd, I can confidently say that this was a great evening enjoyed by all!

10.07.17 -  I purchased a pair of tickets to see Paul McCartney at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on 01.10.17.  The tickets are in Section 123, Row 17, Seats 3 & 4.  Around this time (October) about 20 years ago, I was introduced to the secret album and movie syncs.  That's when the spark was ignited that would grow into a flame inside of me.  Time to celebrate...

16.08.16 -  Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band sounded great in Detroit on 23.06.16.  My wife and I enjoyed the show once again.  We really like the hit songs from the other artists, too.  Thanks, Ringo.

The Claypool Lennon Delirium rocked the Majestic Theatre in Detroit on 11.08.16.  They were amazing!  Since it was a more intimate venue, I managed to work my way fairly close to Sean Lennon's side of the stage.  He and Les Claypool looked in my direction a few times.  I was wearing my David Gilmour concert shirt from his latest tour.  The band played a great selection of songs:  several from Monolith of Phobos, Pink Floyd's "Astronomy Domine," King Crimson's "The Court of the Crimson King," The Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows," The GOASTT's "Animals," and Primus' "Southbound Pachyderm," to name a few.  Their renditions of the classics were excellent.  The combination of these two talented artists was awesome.  I loved this show!  Thank you for joining forces for this album and tour!

16.04.16 -  I purchased a pair of tickets to see Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on 23.06.16.  The tickets are in section F2, row P, seats 206 & 207.  Looking forward to another great show.  Also, I purchased a pair of general admission tickets to see The Claypool Lennon Delirium at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit on 11.08.16.  That should be an interesting combination!

30.10.15What can I say?  Paul McCartney and his band put on another superb performance in Detroit on "Back to the Future Day" no less.  Everything about the show was awesome.  They even played Temporary Secretary, which surprised me.  With a catalog as large as his is, I don't know how Paul picks the songs, but I enjoyed them all.  Thanks for coming to Detroit again!

06.09.15I'm ready to see Paul McCartney in concert on 21.10.15 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.  I'll be sitting in Section 122, Row 15, Seat 13.  It'll be very close to 10 years since I first saw him live.  Can't wait!

07.08.15The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger sounded awesome!  I love how they harmonize their voices so perfectly.  They played a nice selection of songs at Freedom Hill, but my only complaint was I wanted them to keep playing.  By the way, we were the two middle-aged fans standing dead center about 25 rows back.  I'm really glad that the GOASTT made it back to the Detroit area.  Thanks!

30.07.15I purchased two tickets for my wife and me to see Sean Lennon and GOASTT open for Primus on 02.08.15 at Freedom Hill.  The seats are located in Section 200C, Row A, Seats 219 & 220.  I'm feeling enthusiastic, since the show is only a few days away!

30.06.14 -  My wife and I really enjoyed Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band on 27.06.14.  Once again they played a great selection of songs covering the band members' hits.  The band sounded great together, and Ringo was very entertaining.  We had fun on a nice summer evening.

Unfortunately, we couldn't make it to the Fox Theater on 28.06.14 to see Sean Lennon in his new band.  I really like the new GOASTT album a lot.  Let the sync search begin...

16.04.14 -  I purchased a pair of tickets to see Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band at DTE Energy Music Theatre on 27.06.14.  The tickets are under the pavilion in section RT4, row T, seats 20 & 21.  Looking forward to another great show.

30.06.13 -  Today, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Beatles sync page, where a decade ago the first intentionally created movie/music sync with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) was revealed.  (I believe this sync is the first, but maybe there are earlier syncs.)  Also, I reveal another Wings sync with a movie released 50 years ago.

04.08.12 -  I'm pleased to introduce another artist of the synchronicity club, Julian Lennon, with his latest album "Everything Changes."

30.06.12 -  Well, my intuition was correct again.  I confirmed that Paul McCartney's new album "Kisses on the Bottom" syncs nicely with the film "The Artist."  Additionally, I reveal another Ringo Starr sync on this ninth anniversary of The Beatles sync page.  Enjoy!

16.04.12 -  After listening to the CD a few times and examining the artwork, I have a feeling that Paul McCartney's new album "Kisses on the Bottom" might synchronize with the new film "The Artist."  Unfortunately, I've been unable to try this combination, since the movie hasn't been released on DVD yet.  However, I mentioned my idea to Knial Piper, who had the means to try this combo, and he claims that it works well together.  I'm looking forward to watching this "potential" sync.  Stay tuned...

11.11.11 -  We start a new chapter in the quest for syncs with the introduction of a Ringo Starr movie synchronization with his "Photograph - The Very Best of Ringo" compilation CD.  Where will this journey lead us?

28.07.11 -  Paul McCartney and his band were fantastic at Comerica Park in Detroit.  The concert's music, singing, lighting, effects, and fireworks were superb and were perfectly choreographed.  All three of us really enjoyed the show.  What an incredible evening of music and fun!  Being the first concert for my daughter made the show extra special.  Paul was on top of his game, chatting often with crowd.  He even mentioned that the band visited the famous Motown Museum earlier that day.  Towards the end of the show he thanked the crew and the band.  And then precisely at 11:11 PM, he thanked his fans.  Thank you, Paul, for coming to our Motor City.

30.06.11 -  I have three tickets to see Paul McCartney live on Sunday, 24.07.11, at Comerica Park.  This will be the first rock concert for my 8-year-old stepdaughter.  Our family will be sitting in Section 321, Row 11, Seats 3, 4, & 5.  I'm really looking forward to this show!

07.07.07 - Sean Lennon's secret album/movie sync is revealed below.

28.04.07 -  Sean Lennon and his band sounded great.  We were really impressed.  He focused mainly on his new songs from his latest album Friendly Fire.  We had a good time in the intimate setting of this venue.  Interestingly, the song being played over the speakers just before the band came out was Pink Floyd's "Dogs" in its entirety.  Maybe Sean has a secret album/movie sync he wants to share.  Stay tuned...

21.03.07 -  I have two tickets to see Sean Lennon live on Monday, 16.04.07, at St. Andrew's Hall.  This show happens to fall on the 9th anniversary of The Pink Floyd Movie Synchronization Story web site.

Todd Ellis, a major contributor to these sync discoveries, is getting married to Laura Dickinson on 07.10.06.  I am honored to be one of the groomsmen.

The weather was perfect for the beautiful outdoor wedding, and everything turned out very well.  Everyone had fun at the reception, dancing the night away.  Congratulations to the newlyweds!

I have two tickets to see Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band live on Friday, 16.06.06, at the DTE Energy Music Theatre.  Stase and I will be sitting in Section RT2, Row D, Seats 7 & 8.  This will be our first time seeing Ringo live in concert.  The show is almost here!

The show was fantastic and fun!  We had great seats and had a great time.  We enjoyed Ringo as well as the other famous performers.  We really didn't know beforehand, who was in the band.  What a pleasant surprise!  Each band member played one or two of his/her hits.  The selections were great.  We loved the show.

On April 16, 2005, I asked my girlfriend Stase to marry me, and she accepted.  We are planning to get married on 11.11.05.  And believe it or not, she enjoys watching syncs with me.

Well, it's official.  Stase and I got married on 11.11.05.  The reception followed in my childhood hometown.  Everything turned out really nice, and we were so glad to spend this special occasion with our family and friends.  David Hoak was the best man, and Todd Ellis was one of the groomsmen.

Our honeymoon was one week at the Bahia Principe Akumal resort in Mexico near Tulum and Playa del Carmen.  We visited both of these towns and climbed pyramids at Chichen Itza and Coba.  It was the best vacation of our lives.

I have two tickets to see Paul McCartney live on Saturday, 15.10.05, at The Palace of Auburn Hills.  Stase and I will be sitting in Section 228, Row 13, Seats 7 & 8.  This will be my first time seeing Paul live in concert.  I can't wait!

What a spectacular show!  Paul and his band were fantastic.  Stase and I enjoyed every bit of it.  This show was top notch!  It exceeded my expectations in every way.  I was paying attention at the "specific" time, and I was not disappointed.
