Introduction

This page is a continuation of my Pink Floyd page on the topic of album & movie synchronicity (or synchronization). To enjoy a sync, simply play the chosen movie with the sound turned off, and play the appropriate CD at the same time. Turning on the captions can enhance the experience. Specific instructions for each sync are given on this web page.

Special Notes

16.04.24Today, we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of this Flaming Lips sync web page by revealing an interesting Beatles-related sync discovered by David Taylor Mendonca.

16.04.19Today, we celebrate the 5th Anniversary of this Flaming Lips sync web page.  We're in a bit of a sync drought lately, but I'm definitely not giving up on the hunt.

16.04.17My wife and I enjoyed The Flaming Lips live at the Royal Oak Music Theatre back in March.  There is something really special about these guys.  They put on such an entertaining and mind-blowing show!  And of course, the music was awesome.  (I sometimes struggle to express in words the experiences I have because simply put, I'm no wordsmith.)

07.11.16I purchased two tickets to see The Flaming Lips at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on 3/14/17.  (By the way, engineers and other nerds refer to this day as Pi day.)  The seats are located in Balcony Section E Center, Row C, Seat 18-19.  Can't wait!

16.06.14I thoroughly enjoyed The Flaming Lips live concert on 12.06.14 in Detroit.  The show was quite different than most concerts I've seen.  The band was really having fun, interacting with the crowd often.  The band was very entertaining with a visually stimulating presentation using several stage props.  Most importantly, the music was top-notch.  All around, it was an awesome experience.

16.04.14Today, I am pleased to expand the secret movie/music sync theory to include one of my favorite bands of the last decade, The Flaming Lips.  Around the time the CD "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" came out, I noticed a lot of interest in this band on a synchronicity discussion board.  I was intrigued enough that I purchased this CD.  I loved the music on it and have been a fan of their work ever since.  The follow-up CD "At War with the Mystics" has a lot of clues pointing me towards a movie sync.  The sync I found is awesome!  I'm looking forward to unlocking many more secret syncs from these guys down the road...

Also, I purchased a couple of balcony tickets to see The Flaming Lips in Detroit on 12.06.14.  This will be my first time seeing them live.  I'm really looking forward to this show.
